Amethyst Taylor and Balto Monument Pint Flask

Description:

First quarter 19thC. No chips or cracks. This version does not have Washington's statue on the monument top. Color shows striations. Glass body has a long crease dimple on the interior, and a dimple on the front edge of the base. Bottle stands upright just fine. Bought from N.C. Gest of Mechanicsburg, Ohio on Jan 17th, 1929 for...$300! Comes with a letter of sale from Mr. Gest, outling this, and several other possible sales. Great provenance.
