Description:

Second half 18thC. Denting on rim as shown. Early 'Lion in Gateway" mark. We did not locate any paperwork about this piece, even as it's one of the earlier pewter pieces in the Laughlin estate. Large size is rare. Most all the pewter found in this estate is pictured in Laughlin's book(s), however we have not found this piece pictured.
