Antique 19thC Chippendale 3-Panel Wall Wood Mirror

Description:

Circa last half 19thC. Gilt molding surrounds beveled glass on all three shaped panels. Bottom features a shell inlay, the top pierced designs each with gilt acanthus centers. Each glass features a chamfered wood back, and the wood is not plywood. The glass has some minor backing fog as shown. Frankly this should be expected on genuine antique mirror glass. Heavy, based on the glass, which helps are date attribution. Earlier late 18th to early 19thC mirrors are much lighter with thinner glass. This piece is a beauty and the winner will be pleased.
