This antique two-piece step-back writing desk has elements of federal and victorian design combining to create a handsome transitional furniture piece. The federal elements include the tall eighteen pane two door section topped by wide molding, all over three bottom drawers. The victorian elements include rolled front feet, along with ogee style molding. There are condition issues including but not limited to broken or missing glass panes and a missing piece of wood on the front. The two tall doors open to reveal interior cubby holes, above the slightly slanted fold out writing surface. This is an 90% complete piece well worth picking up to make whole.
