Description:

Ca. late 19th to first quarter 20thC. The dovetailed maple wood case includes a lift top section opening to reveal generous storage space, this above the first step. Both steps feature gilt tooled green leather inset within molded edges. All raised on round turned feet, all created in a regency style. These library steps have an old mellow patina, with a decorator look that would fit well into any room, library or otherwise. The green leather has old age stains, the wood shows age use as well.
