Cold Painted Bronze Pheasants on Golden Onyx Bowl

Description:

ca. 1st quarter 20thC. This large and heavy antique golden brown banded onyx bowl features an intricate burl pattern on the top, with two artist signed cold painted bronze birds perched on one side. No breaks, cracks or chips, this thick bowl measures approx. 10" diameter, with a thick top rim. The approx. total H: 6 3/4". If the birds are at 12 o'clock, there is a side bottom very professional repair at 4 o'clock, basically hidden. Fine piece, likely Austrian ca. 1920s.
